Writings that stir your soul

Many times it does happen that while you are reading a brilliant piece of writing, something just seems to hit at your heart, it feels like something is nudging your soul. I have felt this often with my heart beats racing faster with every moment. It feels like something inside of me is assertive and commanding, “Look at me Now!’

I would like to refer them as ‘writings that stir your soul’. They bring forth an event, an incident or a conversation that is awaiting its closure. And when you read those words, it feels as if the time is ripe and you are ready. You are ready to see it ‘As it is’ without any pre-judgments or any form of bias and all that you are left with is a gratitude in your heart for everything that happened then.

When you find yourself in that space where your heart and mind are not just aligned but they are in complete surrender to the moment, healing happens and closure is achieved.

This complete surrender allows you to see and embrace that moment without prior expectations or attachments. There lies immense power in words you say and words that you write, especially when they have their roots in intent driven by love and compassion.

Of the many authors that I have come across Priya Kumar’s writings seems to have such an imprint on me. Her stories reflect in them not only her wisdom and humility but also her courage and vulnerability.

So, I hereby, dedicate this article to you with immense gratitude in my heart for stirring up my soul many times and encouraging me to keep walking my quest in your own unique and inspiring way.

Spending time in nature is the best remedy for restlessness….

Thoughts can have a tendency to overwhelm you and a web of creation can sometimes be a trap and a delusion. Such times, the restlessness may creep in and it would take enough awareness to come back and ground oneself. One of the best ways to ground yourself would be to spend time in nature.

The trees, the wind, the chirping of the birds, the sound of the waves are not just some random phenomena occurring every single day. They breathe intelligence which touches dimensions that are far beyond than what we, as humans can perceive. Their serenity and wisdom touch many realms and for eons.

When you connect to nature, you connect to your true self.  Nature presents an infinite pool of miracles in itself. It stirs your soul and spirit to connect and recognize the truth that seems to be covered in the layers of delusion.

The strength that nature possesses has the power to heal you from within. The insights from nature can mend your self-esteem and can show you your path to enlightenment; a true path to freedom. There is no end to what all it can offer to the mankind. The question is whether you are ready to receive from it. We, as species have taken this magnificent power for granted even though the existence of mankind is a consequence of nature’s compassion and kindness.

It is the time we reconnect to nature and cleanse ourselves from ill-will, hatred, animosity, and much more.

Take some time out for yourself today, go out for a walk in the park, or on the beach and let your soul wander and align itself to the wisdom that nature is.

Nature is the gateway to the wisdom and wisdom seems to reply in silence.

May your silence be fruitful enough for you to hear the truth,

May your silence gives you the courage to transcend your restlessness,

May your silence today be your true companion walking you to that innate wisdom that you are.

Love Yourself

Life can be tough at times. And there is no way one can alter the circumstances or situations or life events that present themselves. But one can surely change or frame an adequate response towards them.

Responding is different from reacting. As the word suggests,‘re-action’, we are only acting out in a way which is more or else auto programmed in our subconscious mind. Most of the times, the premise of these reactions that occur is from fear, anger, ill-will or hatred.

The response, however, is something different. It is independent of the programming or a peculiar habit pattern of our mind. The response is more from free will and choice. The truth is that we can only give all that we have. If we have anger within us that is what we would choose to give from and if we have nothing but compassion and love within then the response will be from the premise of these.

One of the most fundamental things that seem to have been misinterpreted is ‘Loving Yourself’. Loving yourself is not about being selfish or being self-centered. Loving Yourself simply means accepting all that you are and the way you are. Accepting yourself eliminates the need to be accepted by others and hence the actions are not governed by the fear of belongingness; the fear of being an outcast and the fear of loneliness. It is about not having any bias or regrets either for your own strengths or your weakness respectively. It is just about being inclusive of all aspects and owing them without disgrace, disrespect or criticism.

Unless there is acceptance there won’t be a willingness to change or choose without any bias. Everything will be delusional in itself. Change is the only constant thing and the only truth.

When you accept all aspects of yourself, you acknowledge this truth; this truth that is ever-changing from moment to moment. No two moments are the same.  And to experience this truth, it all starts with loving yourself, the way you are and in the ‘Now’. It is in this acceptance in the ‘Now’ that you will move forward in its true sense, detached from the past and peaceful about the future that unfolds.

Loving Yourself is one such powerful tool that can bring forth the truth of your existence and unleash the limitless potential that you are.

So, embrace yourself today and love yourself enough, have a healthy self-esteem and self-worth and go on to radiate that love and compassion all around and for all the realms.

Love, light and grace!

I Am What I Am

We live in a society that is formed out of belief constructs. Everything starts with an idea and is developed further on cognitive concepts that are actually intangible. For example: ‘ Being perfect’, ‘being good’, ‘obedient’, ‘religious’. You cannot touch these things. These are defined as per the rules and beliefs of the societal framework.

Most of the times your choices are based on the perception to ‘Fit in’ or ‘being acceptable’. ‘I need to fit in this group/ society/ organization’, ‘I need to be accepted in this tribe /race/religion that you aspire to be part of. These tribes usually represent the consequence of your choices and most probably are influenced by the societal framework.

This aspiration or the need to be a part of the tribe may not actually come from your true desire. A very common experience of this nature is usually witnessed by most in their growing up years; In college or high school where you might have desired to be a part of the so-called ‘happening’ group or a really ‘cool’ group that is extremely famous or popular. The reason for you wanting to be a part of this group may not necessarily resonate with your desire of to become popular.

For example, You may be an introvert and would love to do things by yourself but if the cool group is an extrovert you would want to comprise on your true desire to a part of that group. And it is actually a myth that introverts are not popular. It is just a perception.

Labels such as ‘ introverts’ or ‘extroverts’ only end up creating further boundaries of discrimination and add on to the pile of perceptions, judgments which eventually penetrate right to the core of functioning that is ‘your belief system’.

So it is time for you to acknowledge the truth that each of us is born from the same divine source who is perfect beyond space time and every other existing dimension.

It is the time that you see the light of who you really are and bring out that very best version of you that which is already YOU!

The only morality that you must be concerned with is that you shouldn’t hurt or dictate anyone.

It is important to respect others opinion and it is perfectly okay to disagree. Infact when you embrace yourself with more acceptance with all that you are, without brushing justifications of who you are, you end up doing the same for others.

When you embrace your true self you make that space for others to do the same in their time and understanding of themselves.

You are a reflection to others as much as others are a reflection of yourself to you. So as you walk that step towards your true self, you lead to inspiring others to do the same.

Diversity is a true beauty. I see it as a reflection of the infinite possibilities harmoniously working and evolving together to better the experience of every existence. I believe bringing harmony in diversity is an opportunity for each one of us to imbibe and explore the experience of true ‘Oneness’.

Be bold, be who you are and shine brighter each day inspiring and encouraging everyone to be that LIGHT.

I AM WHAT I AM

The darkest hour is just before the dawn

The darkest hour is just before the dawn. Why is it so? Have you ever thought of this before? Does this bother you and make you ask the question back at the universe for being unfair in that moment? Well, I have asked these questions. And as the answers unfolded themselves, I have been extremely grateful for these darkest hours in my life as much as the sunshine that showered itself upon me.

If you have been pondering over questions like these then, this write up could give you some insights into it. When you overcome the most dreaded and dangerous encounters, you are closest to realizing your destiny. Then, why does the soul of the world behave evil? Why does it put you through tests more aggressively and more vigorously than ever before? Why does the soul of the world try and hold you back?

The lessons you have learned on your way, while you traveled so far have become you. Mastering these lessons only means mastering yourself. And all there is to master is to embrace all that comes your way; whether it is the darkest hour or the dawn, the heart knows it all. But the dawn will arrive when you do not allow the darkest hour to have a grip on you.

It is in this darkest hour that the soul of the world gives you an opportunity to convert them into the strongest ray of light, that light which was always a ‘hope’, is now a ‘reality’, that light which was an illusion is now the truth, the light that you looked forward to, that light is now YOU!

When you embrace this darkest hour with all your heart, you transcend all the darkest hours across lifetimes. Such is the power and such is the opportunity that the soul of the world offers to you in that hour. Hence, the soul of the world is not evil, nor is it holding you back.

And yes, it is more aggressive in its nature so that you can merge and be one with it and not just live by having glimpses into it.

May your darkest hour be your strength to dissolve every defilement …

May your darkest hour reveal to you the Light that you are….

May your darkest hour thirst your quench to freedom

My 3 most powerful companions on my quest

Today, I would like you to meet my 3 forever companions that have never left my side as I consciously decided to walk my path, to follow my heart’s desires and take that risk against all odds. Although I feel if I would have known about them earlier, it would have been a different scenario today. However, divine timing is always a mystery, isn’t it?

So, let me introduce you to them and I truly wish that you find your companions on your quest soon…

FAITH:  This is by far the most powerful companion. When you anchor in faith, it feels like the whole universe has your back. You see beauty in everything around you. You see the miracle in every moment that unfolds itself and you become more acquainted with the laws of nature.

Uncertainty does not drive you crazy. It becomes a window that opens up to the truth. On this unknown, unseen path, faith makes you strong enough to break down all the shackles of illusion. You put up the ‘good fight’ to reach the root of the misery. You dissolve the cause and thereby, you stop its effects.

Faith is indeed a powerful companion that encompasses within itself the enlightened energies of the universe.

COURAGE: I believe, to be courageous is to give yourself a permission to wander where your heart takes you; the untrodden path. This companion embraces you just the way you are with an innate knowledge that you are complete. There is no void and you don’t need anything externally to complete you. There is no battle to fight and nothing to conquer outside. It helps you walk the path of madness with ease and in the light of wisdom.

Courage is the first step to discover the wisdom that you are. Wisdom is in you, wisdom is you.

SURRENDER: Surrender is beautifully articulated as: “Sometimes surrender means giving up trying to understand and becoming comfortable with not knowing.” – Eckhart Tolle

While putting up a good fight, sometimes deciding to surrender to the moment can put you in the strongest position. This makes all the difference. This is the time when you encounter transformation. And while walking your path, all that matters is ‘transformation’. Destinations are illusions because it is the journey that transforms you. So, when you surrender, you transform and this helps you fulfill your destiny.

When you start living your destiny, you dictate the course of events without planning them. You become the same power that once determined the course of events for you to walk your path.

In the end what matters is that you walked your path. So, live with the truth, moment to moment, and become that wisdom that governs all life and reach your highest potential of being human.

May you find your 3 companions that guide you on your quest to live compassionately and joyfully!

Not all those who wander are lost

When you wander consciously you are not lost. I choose to wander because I am seeking. I am seeking to understand something that I feel is beyond the comprehension of my conscious mind.

I am seeking that experience which is powerful in its nature, where it consumes and dissolves all the defilements of my mind. It makes me flow with an energy that judges nothing, is compassionate to all without differentiating. An experience where there is no place for my beliefs that I have carried on for eons within me.

An experience that does not anchor anywhere. It just flows like there is no beginning and no end.

So, when you see someone wander, do not think they are lost. They are seekers seeking a divine experience that the masters have mentioned, the enlightened minds have written about.

As a seeker, I wish that may you be blessed with enough strength to walk your quest.
